I was invited as an expert jury member for the 14th International Puppet theatre for adults festival “PIERROT” held in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. 23 – 29 September 2025.
My responsibilities involved evaluating the showcased performances and selecting the winners. This entailed attending all performances within the competitive program, participating in jury discussions, and casting votes to determine the award recipients. The awards covered several categories, including; GRAND PRIX and Best Performance Award, Award for Experimental and New Forms, Best Directing Award, Best Stage Design Award, Best Music Award, Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award and The Young Theatre Critics’ Award.
The festival program featured performances from Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, and Bulgaria. In addition to the main performances, the festival included a variety of supplementary events such as book presentations, exhibitions, professional panels and seminars, workshops, film screenings, concerts, and street performances.
